Stewart

Stewart is a district municipality at the head of the Portland Canal in northwestern British Columbia, Canada. In 2011, its population was about 494. 

Stewart is surrounded by sweeping terrain, ice capped mountains, chilling glaciers, snow fields, rivers & fjords, all sitting on the edge of the Great Bear Rainforest. From Highway 37, it is a 65km (40 mile) paved drive through some of the most spectacular canyons and ice fields this area has to offer. After viewing the spectacular Bear Glacier continue on and enter into the Portland Canal area where you transition yourself into the historical town of Stewart were echoes of its vibrant past and pioneering spirit still  remain today.
