Beaumont Provincial Park

Beaumont is a provincial government campsite, located on the east side of Fraser Lake where the original site of Fort Fraser was established in 1806 by Simon Fraser, 19th century fur trader and explorer who chartered most of the province of British Columbia. The remains of the past foundations are still visible, including an old log building and rock foundation. Spend the day relaxing at one of the numerous picnic tables and campsites, and enjoy the amenities which include a swimming area, boat launching ramp and a sani-station for RVs. End the day by taking in a beautiful sunset, which are especially striking during the long summer evenings.
